Math Groups

Math groups are designed to supplement classroom instruction and are intended for students in grades 1-6 whose need for acceleration cannot be met at school. Emphasis is placed on conceptual understanding, problem-solving strategies, and mental math as well as on computational skills.

Groups are small so each child can receive the individual attention he needs to move ahead at his own pace. Groups meet once a week for 1 hour at students’ homes or at the CES office. Testing is required before group placement.
